Improving Productivity

Tune out distractions

It's so easy to get distracted and to stay distracted. Unfortunately, our distractions diminish our productivity. If you notice that you are easily distracted by electronics, then it may be wise to remove your access to those devices during your work time. Removing those distractions for a short period of time will help improve productivity.

Build a things-to-do list

Making a list is extremely helpful. I recommend writing a list of no more that ten things that you need or want to accomplish. If I'm honest, I would only tackle 3 things in a given day. I believe that taking smaller bites to accomplish those tasks makes it feel more manageable. Often times, having an accountability partner like a friend, partner, spouse, or mentor helps you stay focused on doing what you have to do. So if you are willing, share a few things from your list to your accountability partner. Try it out and see if that helps you get more things done.

Identify your most productive work time

Maybe you work better during the day or during the night. There is no right or wrong time. The key is identifying the most productive time that works for you. I am well aware that I work the best in the early hours of the day lol. When I say early, I mean really early like 4 or 5am. I know it may sound crazy, but waking up at that time to accomplish a few tasks is super beneficial for me. When is your most productive time?
